Rebecca TumusifuRebecca is a first-generation college student attending a four-year university. At UCM, she will pursue a biology degree to become a neurosurgeon. She chose this path because it will allow her to learn something new every day while positively impacting a patient’s life.
Rebecca is very passionate about her future as she often jumps on an opportunity to learn more about her career field by speaking with health professionals in her community. Additionally, she uses her free time serving her community and tutoring elementary school students. She believes it is important to support college students in underserved communities because it increases the student’s chances of succeeding in the future. “As a student that lives in an underserved community, I understand the importance of having a good support system.” |
