Deborah Awopetu

Deborah is attending UMKC this fall to major in biology. After earning her undergraduate degree, she plans to attend medical school, focusing on surgery or family medicine. 

In high school, Deborah earned an internship with Cerner corporations, was involved with leadership 2020, the student council, and National Honor Society.

She believes investing and supporting college students in underserved communities is important because it encourages and increases diversity within universities. Additionally, it gives students in these communities the opportunity to further their education.
